Vulnerable Person’s Latrine Superstructure
The Vulnerable Person’s Latrine Superstructure has all the same features as our Latrine Superstructure, including a raised roof, security functions and the ability to purchase multiple units. There are a few small differences that make the Superstructure easier for people with disabilities or mobility problems to use.
The door to the Latrine Superstructure has been designed to slide, with a space large enough for a wheelchair to access the Superstructure. By using a sliding door, rather than a swinging door, you don’t need to worry about your access being encumbered by a swinging door.
Our Superstructure includes handrails and supports to assist the elderly and disabled who may find movement difficult. Inside the Latrine Superstructure, attached to the middle timber beam, is a hanging triangle system. This helps assist people moving in and out of wheelchairs, providing them with additional support. This can be hooked out of the way when it is not needed, to make the transition as seamless as possible.
Large floor space
The internal floor space of the Vulnerable Person’s Latrine Superstructure has been increased from 1.2m x 0.8m to 1.2m x 1.6m. This provides enough room for a wheelchair to access the structure, whilst leaving enough room for an assistant to help.
